Dhaka, 17 September, Abnews: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will inaugurate the construct work of two more railway projects through video conferencing tomorrow (Tuesday).
The two rail projects jointly funded by Bangladesh and India are Third and Fourth Duel Gauge Line in Dhaka-Tongi Section and Duel Gauge Double Line in Tongi-Joydebpur Section of Bangladesh Railway, said Md Shariful Alam, senior information officer of Ministry of Railways on Monday.
The estimated cost of the project is Taka 1,106 crore 80.8 lakh. Of the total cost, Taka 902 crore 63.41 lakh is LOC loan of Indian government while the Bangladesh government will give the remaining amount, he said.
Earlier on September 10, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi inaugurated the construct work of two railway projects, Kulaura-Shahbajpur Section Rehabilitation of Bangladesh Railway and Akhaura-Agartala Duel Gauge Rail Connectivity (Bangladesh part), through video conferencing.
