Dhaka, 11 September, Abnews: The High Court has given an order to shut down 14 hospitals including Crescent Diagnostic and Hospital in the capital's Mohammadpur area as they have no license.
The hospitals in question are: BDM Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Sebika General Hospital, Janasheba Nursing Home and Diagnostic Centre, Life Care Nursing Home, Royal Multi-Specialist Hospital, Nabab Siraj-ud-Doulah Mental and Drug Addiction Hospital, Monomita Mental Hospital, Plasma Medical Service and Clinic, Shefa Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Islamia Mental Hospital, Crescent Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Makka-Madina General Hospital and Diagnostic, New Well Care Hospital and Bangladesh Trauma Hospital.
A bench of Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Sohel Ahmed passed the order on Tuesday noon.
Advocate Monjil Morsed stood for the petitioner.
