Dhaka, 11 August, Abnews: Inspired by positive results of the Traffic Week, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has extended it by three more days.
DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia announced the extended time at a press conference at the DMP media centre on Saturday.
“We have extended the period of Traffic Week till August 14 after getting positive results from the ongoing week-long programme,” said the DMP Commissioner.
“We have collected a revenue of over Tk three crores as fines during the period,” added Asaduzzaman.
The Minister also said, “We will continue to apply traffic laws and take action against the traffic violators, regardless of class and person.”
The DMP chief said innocent children have shaken their thought.
