Dhaka, 9 August, Abnews: The local administration has taken an initiative to develop an eco-park at Bichanakandi tourist spot in Gowainghat upazila.
Sources said the authorities concerned have taken the initiative to establish an eco-park on 34.59 acres of land for enhancing beauty of the tourist spot and conservation of biodiversity.
Biswajit Kumar Pal, UNO of Gowainghat upazila, along with local union parishad chairmen and others planted different kinds of saplings in the area on Wednesday and has plans to plant more than 10,000 there.
Besides, the authorities concerned have planned to take necessary initiatives for providing necessary facilities to the tourists.
Shahab Uddin Shihab, a local union parishad chairman, said the eco-park will help to maintain environmental balance.
