One killed in Cumilla gunfight
Dhaka, 8 August, Abnews: A man was killed in what the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) called gunfight in Komalla village of Chauddagram upazila early Wednesday.
 
The deceased was identified as Faruk Mia, 32, son of certain Md Mantaz Mia of the same village was a drug trader, reports UNB.
 
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB team conducted a drive in the area. Sensing the presence of the RAB team, the suspected drug peddlers fired gunshots to them while the elite force fired back in self-defence, leaving Faruk dead on the spot, said Major Ataur Rahman of Crime Prevention Company in Cumilla.
 
RAB members recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the RAB official added.
