Dhaka, 5 August, Abnews: A court here on Sunday put actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed on a four-day remand in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mazharul Haq passed the order when Bikash Chandra Pal, sub-inspector of Uttara Police Station and also the investigation officer of the case produced her before the court with seven-day remand prayer.
The court also rejected the bail petition of Nawshaba as her lawyer sought bail for her.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) handed her over to Uttara Police on Sunday noon.
Earlier, RAB held Nawshaba from the capital’s Uttara on Saturday night for allegedly spreading rumours on Facebook over the attack on student protesters demanding safe roads.
