Dhaka, 26 April, Abnews: Bangladesh will open their campaign in World Cup 2019 against South Africa on June 2 at the Oval, revealed cricket’s leading website ESPNCricinfo on Wednesday.
The fixture of the tournament was approved by the ICC’s chief executives and will be presented to the ICC Board, for final approval, on Thursday in Kolkata.
According to the website, Bangladesh will play against New Zealand at the same ground on June 5 in their next match before taking on hosts England at Cardiff on June 8.
The Tigers will face Sri Lanka at Bristol on June 11 and West Indies at Taunton on June 17. Australia will come next at Nottingham on June 20 before Tigers face Afghanistan in a crucial game on June 24 at Southampton.
Bangladesh will play against India on July 2 at Birmingham, the venue where the two teams last met during the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final in UK.
Bangladesh will end their league phase with match against Pakistan at Lord’s on July 5.
