Police foil student’s demo, 13 held
Dhaka, 10 Mar, Abnews: Police foiled a demo of students while they were going to the prime minister’s office to submit a memorandum demanding to keep the age limit for entry into government jobs to 35 years on Saturday.
 
At least 13 students were arrested from the demonstration while five students were injured.
 
Students claimed that police charged batons on them and three of the students were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
 
Police said they foiled the demo and arrested 13 students as they were blocking roads, causing immense suffering for people.
 
Earlier today, 500-600 students from different colleges and universities came together front of the National Museum at Shahbagh in order to submit a memo to prime minister at her office.
 
It may be mentioned here that the maximum age limit to enter in a government job is 30.
 
Students demand the age limit to be raised at 35 claiming they get only two to three years to take preparation for the government jobs.
