Dhaka, 17 Feb, Abnews: Finance Minister AMA Muhith, on Saturday said that he will be retiring from politics by December this year.
He came up with the declaration while speaking at a function in a city hotel on Saturday noon.
“I will retire from politics in December,” said Muhith, who has presented 10 budgets as finance minister of Bangladesh.
He also suggested AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury for taking retirement from politics.
A Dhaka University English Literature graduate, Muhith later studied at Oxford and Harvard while in service during the Pakistan period.
He retired from service in 1981 and worked for Ford Foundation and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as a consultant before entering politics.
