Dhaka, 3 Dec, Abnews: Vaani Kapoor, who was last seen in Aditya Chopra's Befikre opposite Ranveer Singh, has found herself in a legal tussle, that could possibly involve land mafia. As per an exclusive report in Zoom, Vaani and her parents have an FIR filed against them for fraudulently selling a property in Noida that has been mortgaged to the bank.
The report mentions that the complainant, Mrs Renu Tyagi, had been sold this disputed property by Vaani's parents, Shiv and Dimpy Kapoor in 2008. Seven years after owning this property, in 2015, the lady had allegedly realised that the land was already mortgaged to the bank since 2000, prompting her to follow this up with the Kapoors. When that didn't work out, she filed an FIR against the actress' family for duping her and her husband, requesting the authorities to take strict action against the Kapoors.
However, a source close to the family revealed to Zoom that not all is black and white here, as Mr Tyagi is allegedly involved in land mafia dealings. He wants to use the case to intimidate the family into getting more money out from them. The source said, "This matter is sub-judice. It is being argued in court, all the evidence is in favour of MR. Shiv Kapoor. Mr Tyagi is a known land mafia who is using various means to intimidate Mr Kapoor and trying to usurp his property. Using media is another tactic of his to pressurise and scare Mr Kapoor by the threat of maligning his image and forcing him into a parting with his property. There is already a case admitted and summons have been issued in the district court against Mr Tyagi by the honourable judge."
We do hope that the truth prevails and if innocent in the entire matter, Vaani and her family find respite in the case in the hands of law and justice.
On acting front, Vaani Kapoor has recently bagged a biggie in YRF's next, a yet-untitled action entertainer starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Said to be Aditya Chopra's blue-eyed girl, she is touted to be the sole female lead in the movie. – Times Now
