36th BCS results published
Dhaka, 18 Oct, Abnews: Final results of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations have been published on Tuesday.
 
5,631 candidates passed the written and oral stages of the exam, but 2,323 were selected for recommendations as there is limited vacancies, said Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq told reporters.
 
The rest 3,308 will have to formally request the commission to put them on the waiting list and they will be prioritised based on the exam marks.
 
The BPSC chairman said they have asked every ministry to employ as many of these candidates as possible.
 
The results can be viewed by typing PSC <space> 36 <space> candidate’s registration number and sending a text to 16222 from TeleTalk mobile phone connections. 
 
The BPSC authorities said the results of 37th BCS written exams will be released next week.
 
A total 211,326 sat for the 36th BCS preliminary test, of them 13,830 were cleared for the written test. Among those who cleared the phase, 5,990 were called for taking the oral test.
