Dhaka, 27 July, Abnews: Club of Finance and Accounting (CFA) of Department of Business Administration (DBA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP) on Tuesday (July 25) conducted a seminar titled "Losing Branches of Banks in Bangladesh: Causes and Remedies"
Former Deputy Managing Director, Bangladesh Development Bank, Md. Afzalul Bashar conducted the interactive session. He gave a speech on how bank branches were starting to lose on Bangladesh and his lifelong experience on recovering it.
The keynote speaker then showed a documentary made by employees of the bank, which emphasized on the declining condition of banks in the rural areas. Later, faculties and students took part on a question answer session.
Mr. Anhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Senior Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, UAP was present as Chief Guest. Head of Department of Business Administration Mr. Shamshad Ahmed among others were present during the seminar. Faculties and students attended the session that concluded with a note of thanks by Ms. Sisili Rahman, Convener of the club.
