Dhaka, 20 June, Abnews: Bangladeshi mountaineer Musa Ibrahim will be returning home on Thursday after he was rescued six days after being trapped at base camp of Mount Carstensz Pyramid in Papua Province of Indonesia.
He confirmed the matter in a Facebook post Tuesday morning.
Musa was rescued along with two Indians on Monday but he was not able to leave the country as his passport was illegally seized by helicopter company AsiaOne following a disagreement over payment.
On his Facebook profile, he said: “The situation is solved as we negotiated with the helicopter company at police station of Timika. So, we hope to fly from Timika tomorrow and to Bangladesh on 22nd of June. May long live Bangladesh.”
Earlier on Monday, he posted a status accusing AsiaOne of illegally seizing his passport and demanding $11,000 for rescuing him.
